In the Chat lobby, on the bottom left side of the chatbox, there is an option where you can select ALL (Send a public message) or Whisper (Send a private message.)

A users list will display all available users you can send a message to. Select who you want to whisper or use the search feature to wish to send a message to. If your message is displayed in pink font, then it was successfully sent.

Please remember that only Ninjas with Lobby Status can only be whispered to.
